I have a strange question. I'm in the process of dismantling my 67 coupe to
do the restoration and I'm to the point that I want to remove everything
from the interior. I started to work on the seats, but for the life of me I
can't figure out how to get them out. I've tried to move the seats forward
or backward to expose the bolts to undo the seat, but either the seats are
stuck and don't move, or there isn't any bolts on the seat rails to remove.
I must be missing something, because it shouldn't be this difficult to
remove the seats.
Are there any tricks to removal of the dash and its components? I have
removed the extremely damaged dashpad (I guess that is just a pad that slips
on over some metal supports?????). I haven't removed anything from the
instrument panel yet (just because I'm a little leary of this, I'm affraid I
might do something wrong.) Since the dashpad left a lot of old stuff on the
dash can the dash assembly be completely removed for better clean up and
restoring or is there a better way of doing this?
Thanks so much for listening and all of your help. This list really makes
the process of restoration etc much easier.
