Regarding the cost to install a headliner:
Let me say this, I took both the front and rear glass out and installed
a new headliner. It turned out great but I've never had a job more
messy than installing the new glass seals. You have to put urethane in
the "groove" that wraps around the body "tab" all around each window.. A
gooy, sticky mess I NEVER want to do again. Boy did Chevy have a
"better idea" in this area or what!!?? (Chevy uses a "bead" of
sealant...much easier and cleaner)
I would gladly pay $350 to have someone do it again.
You could take out the glass and install the headliner THEN have someone
install the seals/glass.....if you can transport the car and if it
doesn't rain, etc...
Good luck! Have plenty of mineral spirits and rags handy!
Regards,
Brian

Subject: headliner: looking for someone to install
This brings up a good question. What is a decent price to pay to have a
headliner installed. I received a quote from a guy for $450.00 (In the
Seattle/Bellevue WA area). Which included taking the front and rear
window out. Seems alot more then what he was going to pay $200.00.
