[CM] C4 in 67 V8 vs 66 I6

A friend has a 66 6-cyl with a questionable automatic trans.
I have a C4 from my 67 289.

Any reason the C4 won't bolt-in ?
If he uses my shifter, will everything work out correctly ?

I'm not sure if he has a console, will check on that.

My guess is that he should be fine but thought I'd check with the experts.
