Subject: [GALAXIE] Hoard of parts

I have found a man parting out his collection of Galaxies. From the conversation I learned that he used to restore 64 Gal's and he now has over 30 cars for parts. I am going this afternoon to look at what's there and get a good idea of what kind of money he's looking for. I'm taking my camera and I'll find a way to post the photos. 
Stay tuned and we'll see if this turns out to be what I hope it is

FYI - We are seliing our 2 1966 Galaxie 500 convertibles, as well as a 1966 Fairlane 500 Convertible and a 1958 Custom 300 Town Sedan.

1966 Ford Galaxie 500 CONVERTIBLE - $10,000 
This car is a real head turner! Featured on Maui Jim?s website and as part of their 2005 collection catalog and in store posters. Photos are also available online at rubberball.com (i.e. the girls with the car). This car was also a feature at the Keystone Light exhibit at the 2005 Adolph Coor's Brewers Convention held in Honolulu, where Jesse James (of motorcycle fame) fired her up in the convention hall just for kicks, he burned rubber, too! Purchased in Washington state 6 years ago, she has a recently rebuilt 302, newly rebuilt transmission (less than 100 miles ago!), complete new suspension, new coil springs (less than 2500 miles ago), rebuilt carburetor (last week), and new fuel pump (last week). Before I list this on ebay, I thought I would offer it to the  lists.
  This is an NOS die cast 67 XL, LTD and Country Squire grille. Very  heavy.
This has never been installed on a car. There is no box, but it is in  
perfect new condition.
  I will be taking pictures of it in a day or two. It is three  pieces.
  I also have some very good, but not perfect 67 headlight bezels.  Only a 
very few minor pits.
 And, there are three NOS station wagon tail light lenses with the  back up 
light and chromed bezel around the back up lens. There are no outer  bezels, 
however.
  These are new in the Ford boxes. One still has the original staples,  never 
opened.
  I stumbled on these about a month or so ago, and bought the lot, to  get 
other things in the lot that I needed. 
  There were many sets of new brake shoes, two new starters for FE,  the list 
is long, but I got that stuff for me.
  The 67 parts are available to whomever has some bucks to  spare!

I do not have a dash. Thosse are very rare. You would be better off getting one of the Dearborn Classics ABS plastic overlays. 67 is a one piece unit. I put one on my 66, different dash of course, as have several other people, and they look good.

I used a Dearborn Classics Plastic overlay on my 67'.  The overlay looks
just like a vinyl finished original. Set it in, glue it down and pretend
like nothing was ever wrong.

The previous owner put a plastic dash cover in my '67 and it doesn't
have any holes for the dash speaker. Does the one from Dearborn
have holes? I cannot tell from the catalog. Let me also say that
I'm assuming that there are supposed to be holes in an XL
convertible dash. I haven't gotten in there to even see if there
is a speaker. Needless to say, my radio doesn't work.
